One
of the oldest initiatives, created in 1985. BNB has shipped more than 18.000 bicycles,
generating local businesses that produce delivery bicycles and vehicles for war
victims. BNB is presently active in Nicaragua, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
The initiative also features the "Earn-a-Bike" and "Girls Initiative"programs
for disadvantaged youngsters in Boston.

a more recent initiative, based in New Jersey. With the participation of a sub-group
located in Washington D.C., it has collected as for 31 December 2002 more than
62,000 bicycles since 1991 and shipped them to 19 countries in Latin America,
Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe. PFP has impressively demonstrated the potential
of collecting used bikes.
