In these pages dedicated to the tour itself, you can skim through the itinerary that we are planning to follow. After the initial departure it will be adjusted to the real route being covered. Since we don't want this adventure to feel merely like a black line over the screen, we invite you to meet the team that will realize the tour and follow its traveler's log, starting May 2005.

Furthermore, before giving the first spins we present you our way to travel and get into the action. We invite you to discover our vision of bicycling, of this particular trip and of its environmental actions. We share our vision with partners who believe in the same things as we do. It is them who help us to balance the budget.

The origins of the project

« It is a life project says Christian Blanchard. In my search of alife project, I've brought together elements that are dear to me: traveling, physical activity, health and protection of the environment.  I think we still can do something to improve the way our planet will look in the near future». A three step's genesis

• The idea of such a project blooms in the brain of Christian Blanchard in 1998. At this stage, all the elements are not clear in his mind, but he knows that he wants to leave Quebec with his bike and roam the Americas for a good cause. Peace, environment and native people are matters he's particularly sensitive to. At this point he plans to leave alone.
  
  
  
  
• In 2001, Marie Collin, attracted by the journey and the environmental side, decides to join up.Her presence leads to establish that the tour is going to defend the environment. But Marie faces quite a challenge because even though she is in good shape, she does not particularly like to sweat and doesn't know much about bike touring. Since then, her bike, heart and legs have took her around Alsace, the south of France and Brittany and she loves more and more her two wheel friend and the efforts it requires from her.
  
  
  
• At the beginning, Pierre Beauregard doesn't want to get involved officially, but he says: "I claim the number ONE fan status". However, in 2003 Pete goes back to school in a university program called Outdoor and Adventure Tourism. This field requires the accomplishment of a broad project which Pierre proposes to do by participating actively to a part of the tour of the Americas. By becoming the third member peter closes the circle, because originally, it is him who initiated Christian to cyclo tourism.
