The mission of Velopax ...

The mission of the association is diverse with activities relevant to various ecological and social aspects.

  • The association is founded in the interest of sensitization with regards to environmental matters and is notably the promotion of an ecological means of transportation. It promotes all alternatives to the automobile as an individual way of transporting oneself.

  • It also works for the education of actions to take at on the individual or at the collective level in order to protect the environment in which we live.

  • It supports the construction of an authentic social justice.

  • It promotes the use of the bicycle as a way to travel.

The bicycle appeared to us as the perfect illustration of clean transportation. It is also easily accesible to all and promotes equality. As such, it seemed to us the perfect tool in order to attain our goals. Beyond our aim to help develop a global cyclist conscience, our approach wants to stimulate ecological reflexion in general and change peceptions. Isn't that a wheel (real) revolution!

Our objectives

Initialy created to provide a framework to the project of the tour of the Americas, the association became more widely a means to:

  • unite people around the project who share our love of discovery through traveling but above all our preoccupations for the environment, the social justice and the responsability of individuals.

  • develop and share our analyse about the environment and to sensitize people to the impact of little actions that can change things.

  • offer a structure to schools and other associations that will get involved in our project.

  • create a fertile environment for all those of good will that are going to be involved in the project: before the departure, during the journey and after the return.

Through the Velopax association , it's like the project Vert Demain has already begun!
